Project Maji, a clean water donation charity, offers a variety of fit-for-purpose sustainable water solutions with the objective of accelerating rural water access across Sub-Saharan Africa.

Our multiple fit-for-purpose highly effective solutions are a result of constant innovation. We are re-thinking rural water economics and challenging pre-conceived notions to eliminate inefficiencies. The ‘Project Maji Cube’ or Mini Maji contains a 5,000-litre storage tank, providing up to 8,000 litres a day.

MAJIPLUS SYSTEM

The MajiPlus system design consists of a network of compact mini water kiosks with a 1,000L storage tank, all connected to a central borewell and solar-power source.

Standpipes can expand the service area of a central water source, such as an elevated water storage tank.

The RE-Maji entails, whenever possible, the rehabilitation of existing water infrastructure instead of deploying a new solution.

This compact kiosk with a 2,500-litre tank still being able to serve over 5,000 litres a day, helps to significantly cut down costs while meeting water demand with supply.

This solutions with a 2,000 litre tank is built with pre-fabricated metal that can be easily transported and mounted on standard cemented floor using anchor bolts.

MAJI HOUSEHOLD CONNECTIONS

This involves utilizing a solar-powered borehole and storage tank to provide water to a pressurized network. This network includes both prepaid public kiosks and individual household connections. The typical setup comprises 1 to 2 kiosks and 15 to 40 household connections, covering an area of 1 to 2 square kilometres.
